Tour 8: Exporting Maps
Use the 'Export Map to Clipboard, File or GIS'
menu selections to open the 'Export Wizard.
The 'Map Export Wizard' allows you
to export maps in many formats for almost any use.
1. Export: Choose between
exporting the viewed portion of the map or the
entire map.
2. To: Determine if the map
is being exported to the clipboard ( .bmp) or to a
file on you computer.
If writing to a file, you can
choose the file format (.gif, .tif, .bmp,...).
Checking 'Write a description...' will create a .txt
description of the map. Checking 'Write a .TFW...'
will generate a worldfile for use by GIS and CAD
applications.
3. mage Options: Choose
which annotations are shown on the exported map.
Resample output image: The
'Map Export Wizard' can down-sample the image to
reduce it's size..
